World's Largest Central Solar

Salamanca central solar, is the largest worldwide central solar energy, was inaugurated, yesterday in Spain. It covers an area of 36 hectares and has been developed by Spanish company Avanzalia Solar, with a capacity of 13.8 wattages sufficient to ensure the needs of 5,000 homes.

The new project exceeds the previous record, held by a central Germany with a capacity of 12 wattages. The Salamanca central solar will generate savings of 27,930 barrels of oil per year and will contribute to reducing carbon dioxide emissions. The project was developed with the Japanese manufacturer of solar modules Kyocera Corporation.
