A British engineer has invented a wind vehicle of high technology that intends to reach in the records book for the highest speed generated by wind on land.
Richard Jenkins hopes that his high-tech invention to reach a speed of approximately 190 kilometers per hour. If successful this thing, his explorations of 10 years will end and these will also convince that could achieve a larger goal.
Jenkins makes now the last preparations for setting the wind speed record generated by the wind energy on land. He chose to make his demonstrate on the place of a ex lake from Australia.
The device borrow technology from Formula 1 cars and is like a airplane than a land vehicle. This is provided with a vertical wing that generates the momentum. "Top speed is really scary " said Jenkins.
It is the fifth version of the wind vehicle on which is trying Jerkins. The ambitious engineer and his team will start to work from September to a wind vehicle on ice because, according to Jerkins, the device can achieve a higher speed on the ice because the sliding force is greater. Jenkins said that on ice the vehicle ould reach a speed of 240 km per hour.
